Ive finished Hyperbole and a Half and Solutions and Other problems and i am desperate for something to scratch that same itch. I loved how funny they are, the wacky zaney vibe of it, the silly illustrations, all of it. I also lowkey enjoyed the lack of a story? It felt more casual and for me that made it feel more comfy.
It doesnt have to be exactly in the same sort of niche, im just open to funny books in general

Maybe one of Samantha Irby’s books? No illustrations but funny short personal essays. Like Brosh, she squeezes a lot of humor out of experiences that seem completely unfun to live through.
Jenny Lawson has a couple; *Let’s Pretend This Never Happened* and *Furiously Happy*. She’s similar to Allie in that she’s candid about her mental & physical health struggles. No illustrations, though.
David Sedaris had quite a few; our book club just read *Me Talk Pretty One Day*. He’s a humorist & shares vignettes from his life. Also no illustrations.
Jenny Lawson, her books aren’t illustrated they are memoirs of dealing with chronic illness and mental health issues. But in terms of making me guffaw out loud she and Allie are defo in the same category.
