a book for a picky reader?

hi all, i used to be an avid reader but now it’s died down and im trying to get back into it. i think now, i prefer books on the “strange” and more unique side, and also books that make you sit there and think for a while after putting it down. books i’ve liked a lot are markus zusak’s the book thief, the great gatby (didn’t expect to like this one as much as i did, but the writing style was captivating), the umbrella academy (i know it’s a comic but the oddity of the plot was great for me), and a series of unfortunate events. i’ve also liked the faster paced writing style of rick riordan’s series, since my attention span is kind of cooked now.

any (preferably young adult) books yall would recommend? i prefer no smut! at the most, implicit sex that happened. nothing explicit.
