On a day where I'm recovering from excessive short form content, sugar, and other forms of hyper stimulation, I want to get into reading as a thing to do to help "flush out" my overstimulation and get me back on track for the work week.
However, I'm mostly interested in productive books (like textbooks) or fiction books where I struggle to actually put it down, both of which are basically just hyper stimulation with a monocole.
Anyone know what type of book would solve this problem? Ideally something that would be entertaining enough to motivate an overstimulated brain to sit down and read, but low stim enough to be able to come to a hard stop without the undying urge to pick it back up again.
I like fantasy/supernatural fiction (favorite series is Rangers Apprentice), but worried that might be too stimulating
