hello, I was looking for some psychological thrillers recommendations that whether because of the story or the emotional attachment you get for the protagonist or the victim, they leave you completely broke to pieces… i.e. a psychiatric hospital patient with a history of abuse and the need for her to reminisce her past, or a particularly harsh backstory etc
tldr: suggest me psychological thriller books so harsh that won't make me want to read again
