I know a lot of us "love to hate" Freida McFadden but hear me out. I'm not seeking fine literature here. She loves twists and turns, always wraps everything up nicely and is incredibly creative. Sure, she's a little formulaic but again, I don't need deep and heavy every time. If you want a good, creative thriller with a prologue, an epilogue and lots of twists and turns then try to read her with an open mind. She's like the Janet Evanovich of thrillers.
On that note, I thought they did pretty well with the adaptation of The Housemaid, except that Sydney Sweeney, while good, was not at all right for the part. I thought Amanda Seyfried was amazing.
