never watched sanctuary but if you’re looking for badass female protags with serious skills, try the fifth season by n.k. jemisin – orogenes basically have earth-shaking powers and the main character is incredibly competent. also check out ann leckie’s ancillary justice, the AI protagonist is fascinating and definitely fits that skilled/confident vibe
