Literally made a reddit so I could post here, but I’ve been rediscovering who I am as an adult reader post graduate school and it’s been challenging. I’m not exactly sure what genre I’m looking for, but I know I want something standalone with an adult protagonist. Bonus points if there’s a well-developed romantic subplot. I don’t think I want anything strictly romance.
Books I’ve read recently (and enjoyed) include
– The Dresden Files (finished a reread with the newest)
– Various T. Kingfisher novels (A house with good bones, nettle & bone, hemlock & silver)
– A Family of Strangers – Emilie Richards
– The Warehouse – Rob Hart
I really loved the prose in T. Kingfisher’s novels, but I crave something longer than her books.
