I have plenty books saved that focus on gentrification within western countries. See 'How to Kill a City' by Peter Moscowitz, 'Times Square Red, Times Square Blue' by Samuel R. Delany, 'Terraformed' by Joy White, etc.
Are there any similar ones explicitly about travel? The building of resorts, pricing out locals, an investigation into gentrification when it comes from foreign investors? The Vietnamese island Phú Quốc comes to mind as an atrocious example. All the basics of what happened to big-city minorities all apply but I really want a foreign perspective.
Thank you! xxx
