I need a suggestion of something like Misery, someone in captivity with a volatile person. Or like the part when Rowan first washes onto the shore in “wild dark shore” and is unable to communicate but you read her thoughts.
If anybody has seen House M.D. an episode called “locked in” is also a good example of what I’m looking for.
Preferably well written, i enjoy classics as well (probably more so than modern) so could be on the older side too.

omg have you read “the yellow wallpaper”? it’s this short story from the 1890s about a woman basically trapped in a room and slowly losing her mind. super claustrophobic vibes and it’s considered a classic.
Leave the World Behind. (If you haven’t seen the Netflix series, anyway. The book was great but if you already saw the series, it would probably spoil it for you.)
Whalefall by Daniel Kraus.
Julia by Sandra Newman. It’s 1984 from Julia’s perspective. The Orwell estate approved it. The whole time reading it you’ll feel like you’re being watched and you don’t know who they are or what they really want from you.
House of Leaves.
