I'm looking for Historical Fantasy set in the Tudor or Stuart eras, or fantasy/alternate history equivalent. Preferably set in Britain, but Ireland or early colonial America would also be good. I'm thinking steampunk/fantasy of manners, but with ruffs and puffling pants, Shakespearean theatre (if the Bard makes an appearance, all the better), witch hunts (especially if the witches are real), and deadly court intrigue. Does such a thing exist?

Do you specifically mean alt-history Tudor/Stewart, or fantasy inspired by those periods and aesthetics? If the latter then potentially some of the old Warhammer Fantasy novels might fit the bill?

This Scepter’d Isle (and subsequent books) by Mercedes Lackey and Roberta Gillis – A historic fantasy where elves meddle in Tudor succession because of prophecies and politics, not that the very human court needed any more prodding for deadly intrigues.
