I just finished On the Road which I thoroughly enjoyed, save for Sal's best friend being a weirdo pedo every few chapters.
I wanted to know if there's more books in Kerouac's style (frenetic, specific to a time and place, creative use of language) but written by a woman. Something similar to him or to Richard Farina or Hunter S Thompson. Books that have fun with language, molding the words into an almost poetry like prose. Books that use accessories, substances, and songs, jumping from one place to next. But! By a woman!
