Hello, so the last time I actually sat down and read a book I wanted to read was 6th grade (I think it was Ferals?). I read some stuff in high school but nothing too interesting. Recently, I decided to start incorporating reading into my life and have come to really enjoy it.
I have recently read Plato's Republic (only some), The King In Yellow, and Lord of the Flies.
I am currently reading Animal Farm, and plan to read:
– 1984
– Gates of Fire
– Fingerprints of the Gods once I am done it
(All of these books mentioned were recommendations or found through quick searches)
My current wish list on amazon is:
– Brave New World
– I'm Thinking of Ending Things
– Heart of Darkness
(These were mostly chosen through the recommended/suggested section on Amazon based on if they looked or sounded interesting)
I know what I have just provided doesn't really lock down a specific genre or theme I enjoy, but I like more realistic fiction (like Lord of the Flies) that are more serious/dark, and have psychologically disturbing themes (The King in Yellow).
I appreciate you taking the time to stop and read this post and would like to hear your recommendations.
Thanks
