Memoirs by missionaries? Preferably ones that don’t suck and can be had cheap used
Looking for memoirs by missionaries. If the missionaries are Catholic, even better.
I am not religious anymore myself but I’m working on some stories about missionaries so I thought I’d do some research.

used book stores usually have tons of missionary memoirs in their religion sections for like $2-3 each. i picked up a few when i was researching for a project and found some surprisingly well-written ones mixed in with the expected dry stuff. catholic mission memoirs from the 60s-80s tend to be more introspective and less preachy if that helps narrow it down.
