Ok, ok, ok. I am only 4 chapters in, so I guess something could change — HOWEVER. Someone had me thinking this book was too much of an esoteric leap to be enjoyable. This book literally starts in media res and it brings you along with just the regular amount of suspension of disbelief as the rest of the fantasy novels.
So far, morbidly fantastic.
If you’ve been holding off because of similar criticism, give it a try.
