Hi everyone,
I have a ton of writing saved in my notes app mostly one-sentence or para, tiny fragments, or lines. Altogether, it’s probably around 1,000 pieces, but there’s no direction or structure. Some are poems, some are song ideas, and some are scenes for a book I want to write. Most are romantic or tragic in tone.
I’m passionate about writing, but I struggle with turning these fragments into something coherent. English isn’t my first language, and I haven’t read much literature growing up, so I don’t really know how to structure or pace my writing.
I’d love advice on:
How to organize fragments and ideas into a story or collection
How to develop pacing and flow
Books or exercises for writers learning structure (especially for non-native English speakers)
I love writing and I write alot of random stuff, so I just want to piece it all together somehow and see a finished project.
Any guidance, tips, or resources would mean a lot.
