My top 3 favorite books are:
- And then there were none.
- The Martian.
- The Conclave
What I’m looking for:
A page turner that doesn’t bore me and keeps me in it. I love mysteries and thrillers but it doesn’t have to be. I can also do sci fi. Whatever it is it has to be interesting.
My top options right now:
– Magpie murders.
– Project Hail Mary.
– The shadow of the wind.
– Dark places.
– Gone Girl

based on your list id go with project hail mary or dark places. project hail mary has that same problem solving vibe as the martian but with higher stakes and more mystery elements. dark places is gillian flynn so you know its gonna be twisted and gripping from page one
magpie murders is good but can drag in spots and shadow of the wind is beautiful but might not have the page turner quality youre after
I would add Gone Girl to the list, it is dark and very engaging. It’s a big book, my edition is 432 pages, and I read it in one day because I couldn’t put it down. Also, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is considered Agatha Christie’s best work and is worth a read if you loved And Then There Were None.
