Suggest me a domestic thriller/mystery with lots of drama
Like catty housewives or something. Kind of like all those netflix limited series that all pop up. I want it to be engaging, but also have lots of characters and lots of drama as well as a mystery aspect.
Oh man, you gotta check out “Big Little Lies” by Liane Moriarty if you haven’t already – it’s basically the blueprint for this kind of thing. All these seemingly perfect moms with their dark secrets, passive-aggressive PTA meetings, and a murder mystery weaving through it all. If you want something even more unhinged, “The Woman in the Window” by A.J. Finn has this unreliable narrator who’s basically losing her mind while trying to solve what might be a murder next door. For peak catty drama though, anything by Gillian Flynn hits that sweet spot – “Sharp Objects” especially has small town gossip and family dysfunction cranked up to eleven. These books are like literary soap operas but actually good, perfect for binge reading when you want to feel better about your own life drama.
