18F oldest sister and daughter of jewish soviet immigrants, graduated school 6 years early, now scared of what to do next because everything is starting to get way too serious and high pressure with no way to slow down

it’s not a traditional path and i have nowhere to look for guidance

Suggest some books that might help…

Just read 48 laws of power and the subtle art of not giving a fck… these seem more catered to adult men so they haven’t been super helpful

    1. I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman. Fictional, but I think it would provide some perspective to someone in your situation.

If you want an actual science based version of what 48 Laws of Power is trying to do, Influence by Robert Cialdini discusses manipulation techniques, but also ways to mitigate them. It’s also much more evidence based.

Thinking in Bets or How to Decide by Annie Duke will help you understand making decisions in a world where there’s always uncertainty and you can do everything right and get a bad outcome.
