I am looking for books that showcase a misanthropic view on humanity.
The most extreme example I have found so far, is in the books by the Austrian writer Thomas Bernhard.
And of course, I know that Shakespeare (in Timon of Athens), Strindberg, Dostoevsky, Kafka, Camus and Sartre have the same themes.
But if there is some corner of the world of literature, that works with a very clear misanthropic view on humanity. I am open to suggestions.
I am also open to non-fiction. But I have already read the “Misanthropy in the Age of Reason” (fantastic book by the way).
Hit me!
