Je cherche désespérément des recommandations de livres dark fantasy exceptionnelles. Mes fav all time sont La Guilde des ombres de Anna Triss et le Prince Captif de CS Pacat. Vous remarquerez que dans chaque une romance est présente en background. En principe c’est ce que j’apprécie mais ce n’est pas obligé. C’est simplement que j’aime quand il y a de l’intensité dans les relations entre perso et que ça forge vraiment le développement. J’ai du mal avec la romantasy car souvent bateau et ennuyeux sans réels enjeux.

The Poppy War trilogy by R.F. Kuang might be perfect for you – the character relationships are incredibly intense and drive the whole plot forward, but it’s not romance-focused at all. More like trauma bonding and complex power dynamics that’ll mess you up emotionally.
If you want something with actual romance woven in, maybe try The Priory of the Orange Tree? It’s got that epic dark fantasy feel with relationships that actually matter to the story instead of feeling tacked on.
