I have been in a three month long reading slump and I want to get out of it. I had been reading the shatter me series and the boys of tommen series at the end of last year, and I mostly enjoyed both but I’m looking for something different from the boys of tommen style because I’m still in the middle of the series and need a switch up before I can finish.
The only genre’s I don’t read are fantasy, horror and sci-fi, I’m open to anything else (I’m 18f btw if that helps with the recs).

Catch 22 by Joseph Heller
Catch-22, Joseph Heller’s satirical 1961 novel, follows U.S. Army Air Forces bombardier Captain John Yossarian during WWII as he tries to get out of flying dangerous combat missions, only to be trapped by the absurd, circular logic of “Catch-22”: a man is considered insane if he continues to fly dangerous missions, but if he requests to be grounded, he proves he is sane and therefore must continue flying. The book is famous for its dark humor, non-linear narrative, and critique of bureaucracy and the insanity of war, drawing from Heller’s own experiences as a WWII bombardier.
It’s a very funny book that is also a deep look at the absurdity of war and bureaucracy. It is an anti war book. My son’s middle name is named after a character in this book, Orr.
