I absolutely love reading about deep platonic relationships. I want to see how they navigate their friendship with one another, the small/ obscure ways they show love etcetc.
These relationships could be familial, where they are navigating family drama/ conflict and share a bond because or this – eg. Virgin suicides, shuggie bain
OR just a platonic friendship where they love eachother unconditionally. Where they dont need to be written into a forced romance for you to see how much they care for eachother unconditionally – eg a little life, tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow (if there is a smidge of romance in it then i dont mind, as long as that isnt the main focus)
I also love stories of unexpecting friendships between two completely different individuals – eg. Project hail mary, isaac and the egg.
