Suggest me a book that is light and funny, rom-com type of read but definitely does not have to be a rom-com! Good writing is a must. I especially enjoy good dialogue, but not an absolute must have. I am mid-30s so tend to enjoy characters that age but again not a must.

I’ve been recommending “Several People are Typing” lately as a good, quick, funny read. It’s all told through slack messages, so it goes by pretty quickly, but I thought it was put together well.
The Faculty Lounge by Jennifer M.
Funny Story, by Emily Henry
**Throwback** by Maurene Goo is a coming of age story but the relationships between mothers and daughters felt relatable to me (late 20s) and the overall mood was warm and fun.
**The Neighbor Favor** by Kristina Forest is an adorable romance.
If you like historical romance, **What Happens in London** by Julia Quinn and **A Love Most Daring** by Joanna Barker both made me laugh out loud.
Ilona Andrews Innkeeper Chronicles –A magic Inn, space werewolves and vampires, a lot of really unique aliens, mystery, romance, action, a fun and humorous series
Swordheart by T. Kingfisher is a personal favourite. The FMC is in her 30’s, so it’s a bit more relatable.
But, anything labelled as “cozy” will probably fit the bill; they’re light, and somewhat mindless to read, but make you feel good. Emily Henry and Abby Jimenez are usually safe authors on the romcom type front. And if you like fantasy try T. Kingfisher, Sarah Beth Durst, or maybe even Travis Baldree.
Kevin Wilson would be my recommendation. Love all his books. They are a but quirky but easy to read and still thoughtful and with some depth.
The Rosie Project is so wholesome and so hysterical
