i’d love to read more fiction that takes place in mexico, but not the usual expat or drug war thriller stuff. i want something that really captures the feel of the place, the culture, the landscape, the everyday life. could be literary fiction, magical realism, mystery, anything that makes me feel like i’m there. i’ve already read pedro páramo and loved it. also enjoyed the lacuna. open to both contemporary and classic, as long as the setting feels alive and not just a backdrop. any suggestions would be great
