I read that book for the first time ~3 years ago and I absolutely fell hard for it. read the full series as well and it was incredibly addicting. the cold and blue atmosphere of the world really stood out to me, the worldbuilding was beautiful. maybe I’m glazing it a bit too much but I’ve read the first book like 5 times now, and whenever I’m in a reading slump I read it again. could you suggest me a book with similar elements; archeologists, mythical creatures, cold worlds, etc (pfc all of these elements are not necessary, im just looking for similar books.)

I heard that The Ornithologist’s Field Guide to Love is a similar rec, although I’ve not yet read it yet myself
The author just came out with a new book! Agnes Aubert’s Mystical Cat Shelter.
I also find Heather Fawcett to be very alike Naomi Novik. Specifically, you could try Uprooted or Spinning Silver.
Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik
A Natural History of Dragons by Marie Brennan
The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman
Miss Percy’s Pocket Guide to the Care and Feeding of British Dragons by Quenby Olson
Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater
This Fatal Kiss by Alicia Jansinska
Breezespells and Bridegrooms by Sarah Wallace and S.O. Callahan
Mortal Follies by Alexis Hall
How to Find a Nameless Fae by AJ Lancaster
Silver in the Wood by Emily Tesh
The Obsidian Tower by Melissa Caruso
Likely The Antiquarian’s Object of Desire by India Holton coming out later this month
Bryony & Roses by T. Kingfisher
