I'm looking to get back into reading, since I stopped reading after school. Since then I've watched a number of tv shows / movies that I really like. I was wondering if you have book suggestions that I would love based on the genres and themes of these shows / movies I already like? I'm open for anything, as long as its not very long or difficult to read.
My list of shows / movies goes contains:
– Psychological drama / thriller like: Fight Club, Mr. Robot, Perfect Blue, The Tatami Galaxy, Evangelion, Paprika & BoJack Horseman
– Science fiction like: Dark, Severance, Interstellar, Black Mirror, Project Hail Mary, Ghost in the Shell & The Matrix
– Fantasy / action like: Arcane, Blue Eye Samurai, Game of Thrones, Star Wars

Based on your list I’d definitely recommend checking out Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro – it’s got that psychological sci-fi vibe like Black Mirror but way more accessible than his other stuff. For something closer to Fight Club’s energy, try Chuck Palahniuk’s Choke, it’s shorter and hits those same dark psychological notes
Also if you’re into the whole reality-bending thing from shows like Dark, The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K Le Guin is perfect – not too long and gets weird in all the right ways
