Can you recommend books for 8 year old kids? Currently reading Geronimo Stilton series and really enjoying it. Tried Enid Blyton adventure series , but had a mixed response. Read a few books of Ruskin bond and liked it.

Can you recommend any suitable books which kids of this age group likes?

Also wanted to check whether it is ok to give Kindle to kids of this age group (or digital screens are not good at this age). Asking as it easier to download some of the titles or subscribe to unlimited.

E ink is not the same as staring at a tablet, so kindle fine.

The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett – I think this may be 9+

**Wings of Fire**  by Tui T. Sutherland – I gave the series to me niece and she loved them for years and still talks about them.

My Teacher is an Alien by Bruce Coville, and the Bruno and Boots series by Gordon Korman are both excellent. Hardy boys are still popular, and,Captain Underpants gets good reviews.

    3. I loved the Redwall books at that age by Brian Jacques. If they’re into animals and adventure they would probably like them, too!

    4. Something by Michael Morpurgo maybe? Kensukes Kingdom or Wreck of the Zanzibar?

Unsure if it’s above or below their reading level or interest, but Goosebumps by R. L. Stine (the whole series) and Magic Tree House by Mary Pope Osborne (the whole series).
