I am looking for melancholic books with ideally a female narrator, but I am open to any. I have already finished The Bell Jar and i loved how the ending was filled with uncertainty yet it felt just right. I am currently reading Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, I was wondering what books would you suggest that have similar themes of melancholy with a female narrator. I also have watched The Hours 2002 and was wondering if there are similar books to this film, aside from Mrs. Dalloway (I haven’t finished the book yet).
