Currently reading a Prayer for Owen Meany and I'm absolutely loving the descriptions of childhood adventures and shenanigans. I'm looking for another high-quality book with similar elements of childhood adventure. Would love for the book to be well-written, with an adult audience in mind. I'm enjoying the "older" style of writing with interesting words and descriptions, would love a book that has this in common. Open to more John Irving suggestions, but would love suggestions of books by other authors as well
