I’m looking for something that hits a bit differently. I feel like I’ve been reading a lot of the same types of stories lately, and I’m ready for a book that stays with you long after you finish the last page. I want something that genuinely shifted how you see the world or even just a specific part of life.
It doesn't matter if it's a deeply moving novel, a biography, or even a piece of non-fiction that blew your mind. What is that one book you always find yourself recommending to people? Also, what was the biggest "aha!" moment you had while reading it?

sapiens by yuval noah harari completely flipped how i think about human history and civilization. like i always thought progress was this straight line but the book shows how much of what we consider “natural” is just stuff we made up and agreed on
the biggest moment for me was realizing that money, nations, religions – they’re all just shared stories that only have power because we collectively believe in them. made me question so many things i took for granted about society
Cure – Jo Marchant. The shift in perspective to consider whether the chemical effects of drugs interfere with the placebo effects is pretty stunning.
