As subject suggests, looking for suggestions of fun to read books with a color in their title. Looking to cross off that square this month for by book club. TIA!
All Systems Red by Martha Wells. This is the first Murderbot book, super fun sci-fi with a lovable cast and is really short so it is easy to breeze through.
The Yellow Wallpaper if you’re interested in something more classic. This is a short story about a woman losing her grasp on reality.

Red, White & Royal Blue, by Casey McQuiston. New Adult romance. The son of the US President falls in love with a British prince. Light, fluffy, entertaining queer romance.
The Red Tent, by Anita Diamant. Historical fiction set in biblical times. The red tent is where the women go when they menstruate, and it is a warm, cozy place where the women talk with each other and bond. The narrator is Dinah, a minor character from the Book of Genesis. I’m not religious but I really enjoyed it as historical fiction. The rest of my book club really enjoyed it too.
The Mighty Red, by Louise Erdrich. Magical realism. I love Louise Erdrich’s writing. She writes about the lives of contemporary Indigenous people in a funny, touching, and powerful way. This one is primarily about a mother and daughter both trying to figure out life and their relationships with each other, their flawed current/past partners, and the natural world.
Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison, by Piper Kerman. Memoir. Yes, it’s the book the TV series was based on. I found it interesting, humane, and thought-provoking.
