Hey guys, I've wanted to read more for a while, but I don't know what to look for. I'm a person who's always been into comic books, so I'd like to read something similar. I'd love to become "a person who reads," so can I please get some good recommendations, please?

Is “A Confederacy of Dunces” silly? It’s definitely funny and has heart. It’s not for everyone though.

The City We Became by NK Jemison has a Into the Spider Verse and KPop Demon Hunter vibe. I don’t know how to describe it other than the book feels very neon vibrant and it’s not haha funny but still humorous. It’s about a group of very different strangers with supernatural powers that band together to fight the big bad.
Since you’re into comic books, maybe Starter Villain by John Scalzi? It’s about a man who discovers his uncle was a super villain and now he’s the heir apparent. The book is mostly dialog so as a comic book reader you might enjoy it?
