highly recommend *small spaces* by katherine arden for the middle grade horror!! it’s a quartet and i’ve only read the first one, but i guarantee you it’s scary for adults too (in the best way). and there’s loads of scandinavian crime out there, i’m not a huge crime reader but i’ve heard that eva björg ægisdóttir’s forbidden iceland series is good!
