What would peoples recommendations be between Assassins Apprentice / Empire of Silence / Gardens of the Moon. Looking to start another series after finishing up the first law trilogy. So far have really enjoyed will of the many/ strength of the few, first law trilogy, red rising trilogy and the original mist born trilogy.
Usually more into medieval fantasies over sci fi, but love a good story above all else.

Gardens of the Moon gets my vote – Malazan is absolutely massive and complex but once you get into it, nothing else compares. Fair warning though, first book can be pretty confusing since Erikson just throws you in middle of everything without much explanation
Empire of Silence is solid too if you want something bit more accessible, has that Dune vibe but easier to follow than Malazan
