Hi lovely people!
I recently got some mildly bad news regarding my health. Nothing that will kill me, but I will be seeing a ton of doctors and go to a million medical appointments in the near future. I am looking for books to read while waiting and while undergoing tests that don’t need my attention. Hospitals worry me so I have had a hard time reading, and have been spending a lot of time just doom scrolling and it is NOT helping, lol. So I am looking for books that are easy to get into and grip you from the start, are well written, and are overall positive.
Lately, I have adored \*This is how you lose the time war\* for its beautiful prose, \*Sea of tranquility\* for its non-murdery mystery, and \*1Q84\*, though I still can’t point out why I loved these books so much. I hate murder-mysteries, love british humour (H2G2 is a personal favourite), would prefer fiction. I am open to anything but gore.
Thanks in advance. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated!
