I've done some searching around and ended up with the Prophet. By mistake I've got the audiobook too and I don't like that much to be honest.

I absolutely love The Alchemist and can't wait to read it for the 3rd time and even more in the future. I still need to read Siddhartha for the 2nd time and will be also once a year read. The only problem I had with it the reading of the names or places but after I got the hang of it it was an amazing read.

The Prophet felt like just a list of things instead of some proper story around life.

Can you all recommend me similar books to The Alchemist and Siddhartha?

    Thanks in advance!

If you liked The Alchemist and Siddhartha for their introspective, spiritual journey rather than surface-level philosophy, you might resonate with something more raw and contemporary.

I recently came across *The Call of the North: 42 Weeks and One Day* by Zeon Vale. It’s not structured like The Prophet (which can feel more like a collection of reflections), but more like a lived descent and reconstruction — very grounded, almost uncomfortable at times.

It follows a real inner collapse and rebuilding process, set against a cold, almost indifferent external world, which gives it that same existential search you get in Siddhartha, but without the allegorical distance.

Not as “polished” philosophically as The Alchemist, but arguably more honest.

Might be worth a look if you’re searching for something that feels less like a lesson and more like a confession.
