A book where the protagonist is the ‘ideal man’ in your eyes.

I'm looking for a very specific kind of protagonist for my next read. A male character that you personally thinks gets it right. Not a perfect guy by any means, but someone whose values and choices actually made you think 'okay, these are the qualities all men should aspire to have..'

I tend to reach for classics, contemporary fiction or even historical dramas but honestly if you tell me the character study is worth it, I'll read anything. 🙂
