The title basically sums it up. I despise with a deep passion books where the woman who is the protag just acts so dumb and childish, or just very mary sue/woe me type. Or where they actually dont let people step on them?
Im not looking for a 'heh, dont you mess with me bc im baddie' type of character, but more on the 'I dont let people/love interest throw me around because im an actual grown ass adult with boundaries and maturity'.
Ofcourse, characters will have issues and flaws and thats what gives them depth and I love it, but I dont want a book that makes me groan because a character wants to act like a 17 year old teenager when theyre a full on, grown ass woman.
(also it dosent have to FULLY focus on the romance, just want to see a book that can have it and make it a good little plot, even if its a side one)
