I really want to get into books but am having trouble finding good book due to the insane amount of slop generated from booktok.

Im really into zombie apocolypse esque books; genres including horror(psychological, more than
not), thriller, adventure, and romance; and like plot driven instead of action.

I love exploring character arcs and how the story affects them. I also really enjoy really descriptive books, imagery is my favorite!

I dont like books with multiple POVs from multiple characters, Im still open to it but its not for me unless done in a way where its necessary to the plot.

Im of course open to other genres, not just zombie apocolypse but I'd much rather that then anything else, its my favorite trope and I love different takes on the "zombie" or "disease" aspect.

Have you read The Girl with All the Gifts? I’m not normally into this genre but I really enjoyed this one.

The passage by Justin Cronin. I haven’t read it yet but I think it fits your request. I’ve seen it recommended by popular authors. Not sure about the POVs.

The Stand by Stephen King is very engrossing. No zombies but a 10/10 read.

    3. Since you like Zombies, I suggest the Clockwork Century series by Cherie Priest. The first book in the series is titled Boneshaker.

The Newbury and Hobbes Investigations series by George Mann also has some Revenants (essentially Zombies), but they are not too important until the more recent books. Still a fun read.

If you Ike thrillers try Red Dragon, introduces Hannibal Lecter and pretty fast paced.

**One of Us will be Dead by Morning** by David Moody

Fast-paced, not too long, lots of action, blood and gore but also grounded with realistic characters. Not zombies per se, more like 28 Weeks Later than traditional zombie stories. It’s within the universe of a series but works as a stand-alone and if it gets you hooked, you can try the other books.
