I loved that book, I couldn’t stop reading as it was very engaging and fun. I have tried other scifi books, but most of them are written in a very complicated way that it makes it hard to understand. Please suggest me some easy to read sci fi books!

The Martian, also by Andy Weir and very good
Red Thunder by John Varley. Has the can-do problem solving and light touch. The humor isn’t the self-deprecating kind Weir uses, but it’s there, too.
I had the same conundrum.
I ended up reading **alien clay** by **Adrian Tchaikovsky**
Not the exact same vibes, but i really enjoyed. It’s about an Academic living in a Grim Dark / 1984 style society, who, when caught with an ideology that goes against that of the state, is sent to on a one way trip to an extraterrestrial prison camp, where he acts as physical labour for the higher ups and scientists studying the flora and fauna and ancient Alien Ruins that were discovered on the planet.
It’s a mix of political commentary, sci-fi, aliens and survival.
