Short book for a school project

I'm sorry, if this post doesn't really match this subreddit, but I'd love some help.

We recently got assigned a project for school that requires adapting a book into a 2-3 minute short film.

I'm wondering wether you guys had any book recommendations that my friends and I could adapt?

(Please, keep in mind that our budget is almost nonexistent)
