I haven't read a book since high school, and not willingly since probably elementary school. I was looking into trying something.

I don't really like things that are super disturbing. I don't mind certain kinds of horror, like Frankenstein, but nothing that's gonna keep me up at night (nothing gory).

Also just not really post-apocalyptic or dystopian stories. I don't know why, it was just never really interesting to me. There are exceptions, like I watched *Pluribus* which I really enjoyed just because of the characters. But it's more that I enjoyed despite being an apocalypse.

I guess outside of books I tend to lean towards fantasy and dramas, but they definitely aren't the only thing I like either, so I'm open to other stuff.

    1. I found Trevor Noah’s memoir Borne A Crime a very enjoyable and easy read. It’s funny and clever written.

Tom Felton’s memoir is also a very enjoyable read.

      For fiction:

Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller.

Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby van Pelt.

Lie With Me by Philippe Besson.

    2. I’m Glad my Mom Died is a memoir that is really well written, super gripping and has gotten a lot of people back into reading.

If you like fantasy, Harry Potter or the Hunger Games both are great, even if you’ve already seen the movies.
