Yes, I know that the book isn't great by any means, but its very nostalgic to me. I love reading about her trying to play their world of warcraft knock-off, the drawing anime and manga, the goth/emo bits where she's gushing about Gerard Way, the old 2008 slang! It's a cute book and reminds me of my childhood.
I tried some of Mari's other books and they just didn't pull me in the way Gamer Girl did.
On the off chance anyone knows some books made around 2008/2009 with similar things in it, I would love some recommendations!
