Hi!
What the title says really. Ideally 11-14 age group, but younger age books also good. Either historical stories/fictional settings about the children of the bargees who lived and worked on the canals in the 1700s to 1950s, or modern or late 20th century fictional settings about modern children livaboard boaties. Or children who live beside a canal and befriend/get involved with children who live on narrowboats.
Anyone know if there are any books with these settings/child protagonists at all?
Thanks in advance.

The first book of His Dark Materials, Northern Lights, has a fair bit on the canal. However it’s set in a different universe/plain of existence so not historically accurate. Great for that age group though
Thursday’s Child by Noel Streatfeld.
