I’m looking for book recommendations based on some of my all-time favorites:

    – What We Talk About When We Talk About Love

    – A Tree Grows in Brooklyn

    – The Count of Monte Cristo

    – Eccentric Neighborhoods

    – A Thousand Splendid Suns

I’ve realized I’m really drawn to:

    – character-driven stories over plot-heavy ones

    – emotional depth (like actually moving, not surface-level)

    – themes of struggle, identity, relationships, and resilience

    – immersive storytelling where you feel like you lived someone else’s life

    – a mix of classic and literary fiction (but still engaging, not dry)

I don’t mind slow burns as long as the payoff is worth it. I’m also open to darker or heavier themes if they’re well written.

One note: I’m trying to steer clear of World War-related books and magical realism.

Would love recs that match this vibe — especially anything that’s lesser known or not overhyped.

    Thanks in advance 🙂
