I’m honestly kind of down for almost any genre, but bonus points if there’s some kind of magic involved. I just finished Bastard Out of Carolina by Dorothy Allison and BOY do I need a palette cleanser before I start Lolita. I’m looking for something light, maybe a little funny, maybe a little magical (I really enjoyed The Hearth Witch’s Guide to Magic and Murder, for context), and, most importantly, well written. Not like, “omg this is the most beautiful and poignant thing I’ve ever read”, but like… literate. Like I would prefer a book that has undergone actual editing (it seems like a silly distinction to make but I’ve seen some things on KU that make it feel important to note). I don’t care if it has spice or not + series are okay with me, too! Thank you!
Also wanted to add that I’ve already read Sangu Mandanna’s books!
