Lately i been reading books where the fmc is a tough rough baddie who doesnt cry, doesnt feel symphany/ emphtany for anyone and just feel angry. Or a fmc cries all the time, and acts like a baby. Im tired of these types of fmc and im wondering if there are any fantasy books with a fmc who is very compassionate, but also stands up for what is right. I want a fmc who screams at the sigh of danger but the very next second they kick ass.

It’s a scifi fantasy mix, but try the Innkeeper Chronicles by Ilona Andrews. A magic Innkeeper runs an inn for alien travelers. She is very powerful on the grounds of the inn, but weaker when off property. She has the powerful badass who still feels emotion you were looking for. The first book in the series is Clean Sweep.
