hihi!! looking for a weird niche of books. im looking for zombie apocolypse books leaning more into the horror aspect rather than science fiction. i really don't care how the zombies came to be, i just love the exploration of how different books portray zombies and the moral ambiguity that lies with their violence.
i also adore books with in depth characters trying to navigate the horrors of the apocolypse. my favorite zombie book ever is if we survive this by racquel marie, which is a YA about a couple of teens trying to navigate their mental illnesses while surviving the apocolypse. i've already read the girl with all the gifts (which was ok) and I DNFed hollow kingdom.
