I don’t have many readers amongst friends, so I am usually the one giving recommendations.
to give you some context: I’m drawn to either atmospheric and gothic books with dark secrets slowly unraveling, or raw and intimate with realistic characters. I love a good romance too, BUT it has to be well-written, with characters development, real emotions, and no cringe lol
something unputdownable but literary.
examples of my 5 star reads: Rebecca and My Cousin Rachel by Daphne du Maurier, Normal People by Sally Rooney, The Shadow of The Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón, anything Shirley Jackson, Madeline Miller.
ok I’ll be waiting for your recs now
