The shack is a good story about a man debating the question “why do bad things happen to good people?”

Alive by peter readi about the uraguanan rugby team and how they dealt with cannibalism

Indifferent stars above talks about complicated moral question about cannibalism and why we do it and arguably the different kinds

Memory by Lois McMaster Bujold is a novel (it is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone) about a man who morally injured people who loved and trusted him, and then has to begin to learn to live with the consequences.

The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison is about a man who was morally injured as a child, and is now in a position of power that he never thought to hold, and is wrestling with the vengeance and justice and who he wants to be.
