Memory by Lois McMaster Bujold is a novel (it is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone) about a man who morally injured people who loved and trusted him, and then has to begin to learn to live with the consequences.
The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison is about a man who was morally injured as a child, and is now in a position of power that he never thought to hold, and is wrestling with the vengeance and justice and who he wants to be.
